Australia’s Fujitsu Board visit to London with partners – six nights seven days
EC Travel’s Australian representative was approached by this leading multinational IT equipment and services company’s Board as they needed to attend a Board meeting in London.
As a result we were tasked to create a week’s programme of activities as the Board’s partners were accompanying the Directors during their trip, which included visiting some of London’s leading tourist attractions, sporting venues and a West End show.
From a risk assessment point of view the Directors arrived over a three day period into London Heathrow. Upon arrival chauffeured limousine cars took them directly to the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair, a five star property in the West End in London.
Once the Board’s ten Directors had all arrived EC Travel arranged for a professional guide to organise visits to a number of tourist attractions including:-
Houses of Parliament tour followed by a ‘rib ride’ along the River Thames
A private ‘capsule’ on the London eye the tallest observational Wheel in Europe overlooking the River Thames
A City tour of historic sites by London’s famous black taxi’s
As keen cricket enthusiast’s a visit to Lord’s Cricket Ground in North London
Although many of their evenings were ‘at leisure’ EC Travel arranged dinners at number of traditional English Pubs concluding with a visit to the Tower of London with dinner in the ‘Medieval Tower’. Before departing the Board watched the famous ‘Ceremony of the Key’s’, said to be the oldest military ceremony in the world held every evening when the main gates are locked for the night. For the last 700 years the Yeoman Warders often called Beefeaters, have performed this gate-closing ritual.
Finally and although the majority of leisure activities took place in London, the day before the Board returned to Australia we organised a visit to Windsor Castle, the HM the Queen’s country home close to London.
